Fashion Lab is an educational project on textile technology applied to textile arts and fashion design.

The project was supported by the ARCE program of the Ministry of Education of Spain and registered with the name: "Comprehensive Educational Development in the Practice of Textile Technology" for the academic years 2011/12 and 2012/13. This site collects most of the generated content at this stage and was open to further collaborations.

The Association of Centers included teachers from the following schools:

Our aims

Our objectives are: the generation and dissemination of knowledge related to the practice of textile technology for higher education of arts and design; integration of our schools in society and contribute to the international education community.

How we work.

The generation of materials is the result of a team of teachers from the four schools, according to a system of quality management of the generated documentation. This documentation, which mostly consists of bulletins textile labs, is subject to an evaluation process that goes from the moment of conception to layout and publishing, through all phases of development and improvement.

To achieve the objectives of spreading it, activities are organized to communicate the results obtained in the laboratory. These events are showed on the social part of the web. They are documented using material and human resources of the participating schools.

Thus, work is interdisciplinary and collaborative between educational institutions. On one hand, teachers and students of specialities as diverse as science and technology, fashion design, graphic design, computer, photography, audiovisual resources, interior design and ephemeral architecture are involved. On the other hand, the spirit of collaborative work has led us to integrate into the project to more schools and more teachers: IES Guadalpín from Marbella and IES Albayzin from Granada are involved in the generation of audiovisual material.

Social integration is reflected in collaborations with public and private entities.

International impact represents the future of the project. To do this we have this site and our intention is to translate the documentation into more languages and collaborate with schools around the world.
